How to spend effectively your free time at home |Productively

Today, I want to talk about making the most of the little free time we have.

For many personally, who work all 12-hour shifts which easily end up being 13 hours if you count the random leftover work that we do after the shift is over as well as the time it takes to sign out to the next team.

So if you take a typical workday, they have 13 hours at work, 1 hour for commute, 6-7 hours for sleep-- all of this leaves them about 3-4 hours of free time per day on the days they have work.
This is obviously not a lot of time but I think over the past year that I’ve been in changed residency, I’ve come up with little tips and tricks to make the most out of the few hours.
So without further ado, I will share them with you guys today.

Here I have return some Best Profitable Advice For Life for you guys, you can watch it out and can get inspired.

Tip 1 Organization

I’ve always been a pretty organized person. But once residency started, I really started to see how the physical organization can cut time and make me more efficient in what I have to do.

For example, in the Kitchen: Making sure everything has a place and having everything labeled for easy access ensures that I’m never wasting time looking for a Tupperware or boxes because I always know where they are.

As far as things inside the fridge, for the most part, I buy similar stuff at the grocery store- this not only saves time when I’m shopping but also when it comes to cooking.

I like to have maybe 4-5 rotating recipes at a time so I always know what I’m cooking and how I’m going to make it. If I get bored with it, then I change it up but otherwise, I keep things pretty consistent In the bedroom, everything also has its place. Something that I’ve been doing is storing my pants with matching shirts and bottom in a dedicated clothe drawer. So I just grab one bundle in the morning and I don’t have to look or dig through to look for clothes.

Lastly, the organization can also help by Filming for Blogging. I have all my Laptops, notes, other equipment in their designated place. All my SD cards and hard drive are Placed discreetly which permits me easy access. And also my file organization system makes sure nothing gets lost and everything is consistent for every project that I blog. This is really important since I always have a ton of content and files. Through all of these organized spaces, I save a little bit of time here and there and they all attach up after a while.

I think the more actual time I save and also a lot of mental energy by having an organized space. And I think saving waste time and mental energy is one of the biggest options to make the most of your limited free time.

Tip 2 Planning things out

I talk about planning about spend time to my friends and family members - but here’s a real example of how I do it. My schedule gets posted usually 3-5 weeks in advance. Whenever I get my schedule I like to plan out my month and then my weeks: What days are good for meeting up with friends (as in, do I have any weekends free?) Are there any opportunities for a quick 2-3 day getaway?

I try to plug in all the big things into my calendar then the smaller tasks to wherever there is leftover time. So the big things for me would be Wandering or roaming if possible, meeting up with friends, laundry, Ironing, maybe a certain yoga class or going running. Typically these are things that are less negotiable in terms of when and how long Then with the leftover time, I like to make a list of things I like to do-- TV shows, reading a book, shopping, etc. These are things that don’t need to be fit into a certain timeframe so they can be done at any time

You can apply this to your schedule on a larger scale. I’m at an age where people all around me are getting married. Even with the limited schedule, I love being part of my friends’ milestones so I try to make sure I can get those days off. This usually means looking at my calendar weeks or even months in advance and requesting the dates off. It’s not possible all the time but as earlier you let your job authority know about these events, as easier it is for them to help you. Well, Planing for me is like to be prepared for the work before work makes you prepare. It’s also one of the ways to confirm that nothing significant slips through the cracks.

Tip 3 Reducing the mental barrier/friction

Do you ever feel like you really don’t wanna do something, like going to the gym or doing Ironing, laundry - but once you actually start doing it, you think to yourself “hey, this isn’t that bad? Why did I make such a big deal about starting this task?” This usually happens to me because there’s a mental barrier to the task that I’m trying to do.

The physical act of doing something, like going to the gym or laundry, isn’t so bad but there’s always that little mental hump that you have to get over in order to actually get started. Something that really helps me with those mental barriers is trigger actions-- small actions you can do ahead of time so that when it actually comes time to do the activity, there’s much less mental friction to actually get started. An example of this is having gym clothes ready, not just in their drawers but an actual outfit out and ready. If your task is studying or doing schoolwork, have your desk area set up so all you have to do is sit down.

Tip 4 Micro-activities

Sometimes the things we do during our “waste time” can amount to big things. Have you ever looked at some of your notes before an exam and had that exact same topic come up on the test? You invested about 5-10 minutes but that small time of investment had a big impact. This can apply to everyday commutes or the “throwaway times” we have throughout our day.

Waiting for a doctor’s appointment, waiting for the train, waiting to meet up with friends… If I’m studying for something, I find it really helpful to do small questions sets like 4-9 questions at a time throughout the day. It can be really hard to sit in one space and do a 45 question block. And you do absolutely need to do that in order to build up your exam-taking tolerance.

But in order to cover content, tiny little investments over time really add up and you can get so much more done than just being on your phone doing nothing. You can also listen to informational podcasts or watch videos on any particular topic. And productivity does not mean should always educational or studying. I apply a similar notion to cleaning my house. I don’t know about you but I’m the most productive and happiest when my apartment is clean and organized. But I don’t always have time to do a full cleaning. So every day I take literally about 5 minutes to do “micro-cleaning.”

Sometimes it’s dusting areas where I see dust, sometimes it’s running the vacuum really quickly over the living room rug. Sometimes it’s just a swift cleaning of the toilet bowl and nothing else. Obviously, it doesn’t replace a full cleaning but just a couple of minutes a day keeps my place looking more or less a pleasant environment to rest and do my work in.

So these are above all the tips I i use to use for making the most out of limited free time. It might not seem like it’s much but it really does add up. Like I said before a lot of these tips have to do with saving a bit of waste time and saving mental energy so that you can focus on the things that you really want to do during your free time.

Tip 5 Call Your Long-Distance Friends And Family

You probably have some friends and family that you have not spoken to in ages, but you never seem to be around to calling them.

Now is a perfect time!

Find a comfortable spot, grab your phone… and call them with your full attention. Your downtime is a perfect time to get back in contact with companions and find out what kind of interesting things they’ve been up to.

Tip 6  Read Something Interesting

When did you last read a good book?
Reading for pleasure is not only - well - pleasant, but it could also be very productive and creative. Reading for pleasure provides an escape from your daily concerns by getting you to focus on another reality. It is also good for your vocabulary and literacy - which are valuable assets for school or work. Furthermore, since reading stimulates the brain, it can help keep illnesses such as Alzheimer’s or dementia at bay.

Tip 7 Try Something New

Exploring various interests is another great way to productively occupy your free time. It can help you get to know yourself better. Your interests might not always correspond with your abilities, but don’t be afraid of trying new things. You may be surprised to find that you are better at some activities than you expected.

Who knows?

You might just have a natural talent for baking!

Now I will give you some other options to stay busy in your leisure time so that you don't kill your productiveness and creativity.

Everyone in this world likes to be famous and get fame, but due to their hectic life schedule, they don't be able to live their desire life.  This activity is for people who don't want to limit their life. As in this will ask for some dedication towards precision and less time to invest for content, little time to edit the video and yeah, here the video is ready. Making videos on youtube is also a great career choice but you should start it as part-time work and after certain experience and skills development, you can convert it into your fulltime earning business. These days it's not that easy to get the video uploaded on youtube but the demand is for content and if you outline it then you can call yourself as YOUTUBER.

When you get free time at your home this activity can really give you a great privilege over your future investment to enhance your bank account. If you are investing long term money in the stock market and have spent over agents or brokers then take deep breath and in your this leisure time start learning about the stock market at some point results will prove you that you have spend your free time in right direction, many videos are available on youtube to teach you from scratch to the crown of the hill.
The method goes with Mutual Funds.

7) Play Some Old Indoor Games

Sometimes playing our childhood games really makes our nebulous good time memories clear. Sometimes it's great to sit with friends and play games like ludo, UNO cards, Deck cards, chess, snake and ladder, business, carrom (my favorite), Monopoly, Scrabble, Guess Who, Othel, Game of Life, etc.

In our childhood, it was so joyful for us to play these game with our all friends but in this adult life which surrounded by technologies, people don't like to play these kind of games. People like to play PS (Play Station), X-Box, Computer games, Playboy remote, Nintendo V, FIFA, etc which absolutely fine. But my point is that people should try these games to again have the same experience as in childhood.
